Joji Koyama – Elsewhere #2

Just came across this film artist. Nice drawn patterns and colours! And the animation looks fairly simple like gifts all put together...It will be good research I think for the short animation I will be working on over the christmas break.

Some of my work and research right now...

I like this image made in a workshop for the fiction project. Tool shapes of church windows and recreated them with text on an ink drawing I had done of a girl. I think the curved shapes and eyes compliment each other.

Some life drawings...exploring movement of the figure.

Continuing to make these patterns with pro markers letting them bleed through the page. Actually drawing from zoomed in versions of other pro marker patterns so the subject is becoming more and more abstracted.

Making more clay figures after being inspired my house of dreams to create some kind of imaginative fictional space...
