Stephen Appleby /Highgate Cemetery

Stephen Appleby gave a lecture yesterday morning about his work. I was especially interested in the way that he translates 2D work into 3D for his animations. He does this by making calibrating with his cousin, Linda McCarthy who makes ceramic versions of his drawings. As the next step in my fiction project I would like to translate my Laurence Anyways  paintings into 3D scenes....

Yesterday I also took a tour of Highgate Cemetery which allowed me to visit the other side of it I hadn't seen before. Beforehand I imagined what it would look like; during the tour I made very quick drawings of the things I saw; afterwards I continued in the same sketchbook making memory drawings.
