I have been working in this way for my course project where I build up marks made by pro marker pens to make symmetrical patterns by letting the ink bleed through the pages. This technique does't work very well when I try to use lines so my images tend to be a build up of dotts. Therefore I think it would be helpful to study the pointalist artists and how they manage to build up pictures using only dots and marks.

Continuing my research for my IPS and this idea of method drawing I came across this artist who hides figures in decorated spaces. These kind of overly decorated; patterned creations are exactly what interests me.
Also like the style of this Frida Kahlo vogue cover....
