Laurence Anyways

Been working on a brief this week for the course project to draw from a film. Have chosen to draw from Lawrence Anyways(2012). I've been using my ink stick which allows me to focus mostly on tone and limits me to monochrome. I have also been pushing myself to work on different scales from A1 - A8. I have only drawn up to the half way point. But so far these two images are resinating me as I feel like they relate to my resent research in the way that pattern interacts with figures:
